KATE D'ADAMO is a Board member of the Woodhull Freedom Foundation, an organization that advocates that sexual freedom must be viewed as a fundamental human right. www.woodhullfreedomfoundation.org
Kate and Barry discuss Woodhull's groundbreaking lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the federal law that purports to fight online sex trafficking but has already endangered the lives of sex workers. They also explore the Justice Department's lack of success in prosecuting obscenity, violence against sex workers, and the political impact of actress Stormy Daniels.
Ms. D'Amamo wants Americans to see that "liberation is collective" and that organizing sex workers is part of the best tradition of labor organizing. She currently works at Reframe Health and Justice with writing at www.reframehealthandjustice.com.
